The DSMZ - Deutsche Sammlung von Mikroorganismen und Zellkulturen GmbH (German Collection of Microorganisms and Cell Cultures) is the most comprehensive Biological Resource Centre in Europe.
With more than 18.000 microorganisms, 1.200 plant viruses, 600 human and animal cell lines, 770 plant cell cultures and more than 7.100 cultures deposited for the purposes of patenting, we have demonstrated our obligation to serve science for decades. Since 2004, the DSMZ is certified by DIN EN ISO 9001-2000. The DSMZ is an independent, non-profit organisation

vifabio Virtuelle Fachbibliothek Biologie ext

Biomedizinische Fachartikel gratis aus dem Netz

Mit vifabioDOC ist nun eine elektronische Plattform für Veröffentlichungen aus der Biologie gestartet. Die Besonderheit: Alle dort abgelegten Dokumente sind weltweit dauerhaft frei zugänglich.
vifabioDOC versteht sich als Open Access-Repositorium. Jeder Wissenschaftler kann eine Veröffentlichugn im pdf-Format hochladen. Die Publikationen auf vifabioDOC werden automatisch in zahlreichen Datenbanken und Suchmaschinen verzeichnet, auch im Mutterschiff, dem Virtuellen Katalog der Virtuellen Fachbibliothek Biologie (vifabio). Schon jetzt (April 2011) sind über 2.500 Dokumente auf vifabioDOC gespeichert.

Hintergrund
Die Virtuelle Fachbibliothek Biologie (vifabio) ist ein Projekt der Universitätsbibliothek Johann Christian Senckenberg Frankfurt am Main.

vifabioDOC vereinigt zwei Funktionen: Einerseits dient die Plattform der Literatursuche. Andererseits ist vifabioDOC ein Angebot an Autoren biologischer Publikationen. Denn durch die spezielle Fokussierung auf die Biologie entsteht ein Angebot, das von der Fachwelt überregional und international besser wahrgenommen werden kann als etwa ein fachübergreifender Dokumentenserver einer einzelnen Universität. Die Webseiten von vifabioDOC bieten für Autoren darüber hinaus umfassende Informationen rund um das komplexe Themenfeld „Elektronisches Publizieren“. Das Veröffentlichen auf vifabioDOC ist für die Autoren kostenlos; auch Herausgeber von Schriftenreihen und Zeitschriften können die Plattform kostenlos nutzen.
